Terms of Use
Effective date: July 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of the v-Lawyer app and website. By using v-Lawyer you agree to them.
1. What v-Lawyer is — and is not
v-Lawyer uses artificial intelligence to explain legal documents in plain English: summaries, potential red flags tied to the document's own text, and questions you might ask a professional.
v-Lawyer is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using the app. The app explains what a document says; it does not tell you whether to sign, predict legal outcomes, or apply the law of your jurisdiction to your situation. For any decision that matters, consult a licensed attorney.
2. AI accuracy
Analyses are generated by an AI model. We ground every flagged risk in the document's own text and verify quotes against the document, but AI can make mistakes, miss issues, or mischaracterize terms. Content flagged as “couldn't locate exact text” is explicitly unverified. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to documents you upload. You grant us (and our AI provider, Anthropic) the limited right to process them solely to provide the service. You promise you have the right to upload what you upload — don't submit documents you're not permitted to share. Documents are deleted from our systems within 24 hours (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service; don't use it to violate the law; don't resell access; don't try to circumvent the free-tier limits or extract the underlying model.
5. Subscriptions
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription ($9.99/month or $59.99/year, with a 7-day free trial) billed through your Apple ID. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Fair use applies (currently ~12 full analyses per month; follow-up questions on analyzed documents are unlimited). Refunds are handled by Apple per its policies.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your non-waivable consumer rights.
7. Termination
You can stop using v-Lawyer at any time; deleting the app removes your local data. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse of these terms.
8. Governing law & disputes
This section — governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution terms — is being finalized for the operating entity and its markets. Until it is published here, any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law; contact us at support@v-lawyer.ai and we'll work to resolve it directly.
9. Changes & contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app or on the site. Contact: support@v-lawyer.ai.
